Webpage of "Rīgas satiksme" becomes functionally more convenient
Taking into consideration clients’ wishes, as well as having studied the structure of webpages of public transport companies in other countries, the developers of the new "Rīgas satiksme" webpage give priority to route search systems and information about e-tickets and their types. On the first page visitors will also find current information, participate in opinion polls, as well as learn the most important information for the city’s guests.
As many passengers use mobile phones to search public transport routes and schedules, the new webpage will be also available in a modern mobile version.
Every year the webpage of "Rīgas satiksme" is visited by 1.5 million unique visitors, but public transport schedule pages in 2011 were visited more than 53 million times. 80% of "Rīgas satiksme" webpage users every day search information on public transport routes, schedules and departure times. The customers also inquire about the types of e-tickets, their purchase and reloading.
It should be reminded that at the end of December 2011 the route search page was also given a new functionality: now it includes not only routes and departure times of trams, trolleybuses and buses, but also those of minibuses.
